From c46ac3db0a4db60e667edeabc9ed451c6e8e0ccf Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Paolo Bonzini Date: Mon, 18 Mar 2024 14:41:33 -0400 Subject: [PATCH 020/100] KVM: remove kvm_arch_cpu_check_are_resettable MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit RH-Author: Paolo Bonzini RH-MergeRequest: 245: SEV-SNP support RH-Jira: RHEL-39544 RH-Acked-by: Thomas Huth RH-Acked-by: Bandan Das RH-Acked-by: Vitaly Kuznetsov RH-Commit: [20/91] d7745bd1a0ed1b215847f150f4a1bb2e912beabc (bonzini/rhel-qemu-kvm) Board reset requires writing a fresh CPU state. As far as KVM is concerned, the only thing that blocks reset is that CPU state is encrypted; therefore, kvm_cpus_are_resettable() can simply check if that is the case.
