Tony Camuso 31a58bfb04 Update to upstream v2.8 and bump NVR to pigz-2.8-1 
Also removed patches that have since been applied to the code base.
Updated .gitignore to ignore the build directories and any files
or directories begining with a dot.

Resolves; RHEL-70287
