+Subject: [PATCH] sessions: Do not pretend we register the session
+
+When it comes to the session, we can register the session ourselves or
+leave that to GDM to sort out.
+
+This is determined by the keyword "X-GDM-SessionRegister" in the session
+file.
+
+If that value is true, the compositor will register with the session
+itself.
+
+Unfortunately, GNOME Kiosk session have that wrong, the value is set to
+true, yet GNOME Kiosk will not register with session itself unlike GNOME
+Shell.
+
+As a result, GDM will not terminate/restart the greeter, and after the
+session terminates, it will reuse the old greeter. That prevents further
+logins from GDM due to other issues in GDM.
+
+To avoid that problem with GNOME Kiosk, we can either implement the
+session registration in GNOME Kiosk, or simply change the value of the
+key "X-GDM-SessionRegister" to false in the session file.
+
+The latter being the simplest approach, this is the fix implemented
+here.
+
