- add gdbm-devel as a build dependency (#44990)
- split off CRAM-MD5 and DIGEST-MD5 into a subpackage of their own (#43079,
    and dialogs with David L. Parsley)

- split out the PLAIN and LOGIN mechanisms into their own package (this
