The Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) Plugins
The alsa-utils dependencies were added to resolve directory ownership, but the plugins do not require the utils. Instead, just have the plugins co-own /etc/alsa. The hard requires on JACK and PulseAudio daemons (nowadays both provided by PipeWire) are not strictly necessary, e.g. in flatpak builds where the host instance is used over a socket connection.
