What's the process for getting your next home during/after a mostly amicable divorce? #1

Hello, I am waiting for the process to begin, which is expected to be fairly easy with mediation https://onlinedivorcer.com/county-specific-resources/texas/divorce-in-travis-county. But I don't know what the child support amount will be, so the mortgage agent can't yet determine my true debt-to-income ratio. I know that if we sell the house, the money will go there, but I want to know the amount of child support more to see if I can stay in our current house. Can anyone give me some basic information on the timeline and process of getting my next home and perhaps how best to navigate this process as it approaches?
